Council has begun work on a new playspace in Wilson Park, Llandilo.

The playspace was co-designed by Llandilo Public School students and Council as part of the Penrith Mayoral Challenge.

Climbing equipment, a multi-play unit with slide, and three bay swing set with an accessible swing are key features of the design.

A new amenities building will be constructed with a unisex toilet and unisex ambulant toilet, which will both have baby change tables, as well as a MLAK-fitted unisex accessible toilet.

The existing multi-sport court is being revitalised and a variety of outdoor fitness equipment will also be installed.

The space will be made even more inviting for families and children with the addition of a picnic table, hammock, bin, shade sails, bike racks, pathways, trees and landscaping.

This project is expected to be completed before the end of 2023.
