Design for new Oxley Park playspace revealed

10 April 2025

The playspace in Ridge Park will undergo an exciting upgrade this year, with the final design now complete.

Council consulted with the community to find out what they want to see in their new playspace and used this feedback to develop the design.

Jumping, climbing, sliding and inclusive equipment were the most requested items. These have been included in the design, which features:

  • multi-play unit with two slides, monkey bars, climbing features and puzzles
  • accessible in-ground trampoline
  • swing set including an inclusive basket swing
  • musical drums and chimes
  • balance logs
  • spinner

Shade, picnic tables and seating are important to the community, so we’ve included a picnic table, bench seating, and we will retain the existing shade sail. Softfall, new pathways and a drinking fountain are also included in the design.

Construction will begin in May 2025.
