Great Western Highway temporary traffic changes: 19 – 22 January 2024

16 January 2024

Road works will be undertaken on the Great Western Highway between Billington Place and Stanton Place, Emu Plains, from 9:00am on Friday 19 January 2024 until midnight on Monday 22 January 2024.

This section of the Great Western Highway will be temporarily reduced to one lane of traffic along both the eastbound and westbound sides of the road to allow for the installation of stormwater pipes and construction of median islands along the road.

The new River Road will remain open and access to the Regatta Park car park will be maintained. Traffic lights at the River Road and Great Western Highway intersection will be inactive during this time and temporary traffic lights will be in use.

Traffic controllers will be in place to manage vehicular traffic throughout the scheduled works. Signage has also been installed along the Great Western Highway to advise motorists of the temporary changes.

Please observe all traffic controls in place.

Works will be conducted throughout the evenings. We will endeavour to conduct high noise works during the day and will be working to minimise any disruption as much as possible.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
