The Great Western Highway end of River Road, Emu Plains, will be temporarily closed between 7am and 6pm, on Saturday 5 November 2022.

Safety barriers are being installed on the eastern side of River Road in preparation for works which will be undertaken as part of the Regatta Park project. This will result in a change in lane width indicated by temporary line markings.

Detours will be put in place as part of the traffic management plan. Vehicular traffic into River Road from the Great Western Highway will be diverted via Napier Avenue, while traffic out of River Road will be diverted via Francis Avenue.

Pedestrian traffic along the eastern side of River Road footpath will be redirected to a temporary footpath on the western side of the road. The amenities block on the western side will also remain available.

Traffic controllers will be on site to direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic during the scheduled works. Resident access will be maintained at all times.
