Shared path makes progress

Works have continued along Factory Road and surrounding streets over the past 2 months, including:

  • Safety rail installed on the Cross Street retaining wall and footpath constructed.
  • Ongoing removal and relocation of electrical poles on Factory Road.
  • Lighting installed at pedestrian crossings along Spencer Street.
  • Tree planting and landscaping.

The finishing touches will be made to the path in January 2026, including:

  • Asphalting along Factory Road between the existing road and new kerb and gutter.
  • Relocating the final 4 electrical poles on Factory Road.
  • 2 pedestrian crossings to be installed on Factory Road.
  • Final shared path works along Factory Road, including retaining wall.
  • Line marking on the path and pedestrian crossings.
  • Safety rail to be installed on the retaining wall on Factory Road.
  • Tree planting.

The Factory Road shared path project is funded by the NSW Government’s Get NSW Active Program and Council.
