The draft Rural Lands Strategy (RLS) has been prepared to provide a strategic approach for managing and protecting the social, economic and environmental values of our rural lands. The RLS puts forward a framework built around five priorities, 17 associated outcomes and actions that will ensure we move towards these desired outcomes.
A revised draft of the Rural Lands Strategy has been prepared to acknowledge recent government plans and investments for our City and the changes these will likely bring to our rural lands. An earlier draft Rural Lands and Villages Strategy was exhibited with the Local Strategic Planning Statement (LSPS) in late 2019.
The Rural Lands Strategy forms one component of the Places of Penrith strategic planning framework, which will establish the vision and directions for the Penrith Local Government Area (LGA).
