City Park gets cooler with new water features

3 November 2023

New water features have been installed in City Park to help create a cool and refreshing space, particularly for visitors to the park during the warmer months.

A five-metre-wide circular water fountain will be a central feature, surrounded by one of four pergolas.

Three cascading pools spanning 15-metres with a connecting stream will be surrounded by the largest pergola on the corner of Station Street and Allen Place laneway, and fog misting fountains have been installed in the ground.

Lawn lovers will be excited to see the first section of turf for the central lawn has been laid, with more turf to be laid across the park in the coming weeks. New light poles have also been installed across the park.
