From Monday 7 August 2023, there will be periodic traffic changes along Allen Place laneway between Station Street and Gaymark Lane in Penrith CBD.

As part of the City Park project, the laneway is being widened to allow for two-way traffic and refurbished with a paved footpath, vehicle loading bay area, mountable kerb, garden beds, and trees.

Works are being staged to minimise disruption and will be completed by early November 2023, weather permitting.

There will be traffic changes that may impact vehicular and pedestrian traffic along the laneway at different times during this period.

Detours will be put in place as part of the traffic management plan and a traffic controller will be on site during business hours throughout the scheduled works.

Pedestrian access will be maintained through the City Centre Arcade, between High Street and the Allen Place car park.

Please observe all traffic controls in place throughout this period.
