Penrith City Council is planning for the future of Penrith’s East–West Corridor. Kingswood and Werrington sit at the heart of this corridor, which will welcome more people and jobs over the next 20 years.
We asked the community what’s needed to make these great places to live, work and visit.
We heard that you want safer spaces, better connections and more local jobs. We’ve used this feedback to shape the corridor vision and guide future planning for the next 20 years to form the draft East-West Corridor: Kingswood-Werrington Structure Plan.
Your feedback has also helped identify practical improvements to improve safety, accessibility and create more vibrant centres in the short to medium term which has shaped the draft Kingswood-Werrington Place Plan.
Have your say

Kingswood - Werrington Place Plan
We heard from many of you last year about what you like about Kingswood and Werrington, things you’d like to see improved and what you want these areas to look like in the future.
To speak with more people and dive deeper, we conducted further community consultation in February 2026 through:
- Walkshops at key locations in Kingswood and Werrington
- Drop-in sessions at Werrington Shopping Centre and the Village Cafe in Kingswood.
Your feedback has shaped the draft Kingswood-Werrington Place Plan to ensure it reflects the needs of those who live, work, study or spend time in the area.
