8 November 2024

Work will start this month on the next stage of an upgrade at Jim Anderson Park in Werrington Downs.

New outdoor fitness equipment will be installed to give the community more options to enjoy physical activity.

A range of strength and cardio equipment will be available including an accessible hand cycle, shoulder press, push-up bar, resistance hooks, stretch station, trapeze rings, leg lift and butterfly press.

The half court will be reconstructed with a basketball hoop, netball hoop, and new line markings.

Seating and a new pathway will also be installed to improve access to the court and fitness equipment.

The first stage of the park’s upgrade was completed earlier this year and included an exciting new castle-themed playspace.

This project is funded through the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.

Work is due to be completed by the end of the year.
