It’s full steam ahead at the Gipps Street Recreation Precinct!

Earthworks are now complete, and the installation of new service utilities, stormwater infrastructure, and remedial works are almost finished.

So, what other exciting work is happening above the ground?

The concrete slab for the main amenities building has been poured and work to construct the building is underway.

For the sports lovers among us, floodlighting is being installed on the sports fields and irrigation on the southern sports fields are complete.

Families, children, and teenagers will be excited to hear that work is underway on the inclusive children’s play areas which includes water play.

And the youth precinct, including beginner and intermediate skate bowls, parkour and a pump track, are under construction.

This 32-hectare site is shaping up to become one of Penrith’s largest and best sport and recreation destinations when it opens next year.
