For sports lovers

Irrigation and floodlighting have been installed on all the sports fields, and the turf is laid and growing well.

There will be various fields including one junior size and four full size rectangular fields, with two synthetic cricket wickets on offer when the precinct opens.

The floodlit four lane district-level cricket practice facilities have been constructed.

Work is continuing on the main amenities building with the walls and roof taking shape.

For the adventurous

Construction of the youth precinct is progressing with asphalt laid for the 245-metre pump track, beginner and intermediate skate bowls built within the skate park, floodlighting installed, and two multi-sport courts being surfaced.

Parkour equipment, outdoor table tennis, a toilet block, public artwork, seating, shelters, water bubblers, and bike racks will also be installed in the coming months.

For families

A variety of equipment for all ages has been installed in the new children’s play areas, which includes water play, and the surrounding landscaping is complete.

The construction of supporting infrastructure will get underway soon including the installation of shade sails.

For fitness fans

A variety of outdoor fitness equipment has been installed so there will be plenty of workout options for the community.

What else is happening?

Construction is underway on the road through the precinct, car parking areas, and landscaping across the precinct.

There’s also a lot more to come including two netball courts, a floodlit dog park, walking trails, and picnic areas.

This project is proudly funded by Council in association with the NSW Government.
