Following the success of Council’s two previous Disability Action Plans, we want to respond further to the needs and interests of people with disability, and are striving for an inclusive and engaging city that facilitates the participation of all residents. Strategies and actions that will assist in overcoming barriers to inclusion will we incorporated into Council’s planning for the next four years.

Between March and July 2016, Council met with many small groups of people with a disability to hear about their experience of living with disability in Penrith. The community forums facilitated the interaction and broader community input of people in the Penrith LGA into this Disability Inclusion Action Planning process.
